A natural scotogenic model for neutrino mass & dark matter

چکیده
In this letter, we propose an extension of the scotogenic model where singlet Majorana particle can be dark matter (DM) without need a highly suppressed scalar coupling order O(10?10). For that, SM is extended with three fermions, inert doublet, and two (a complex real) scalars, global Z4 symmetry that spontaneously broken into Z2 at scale higher than electroweak one by vev scalar. setup, smallness neutrino mass achieved via cancellation between diagrams la scotogenic, DM candidate viable for large range; phenomenology richer minimal model.

Neutrino Mass and Dark Matter
Despite direct observations favoring a low mass density, a critical density universe with a neutrino component of dark matter provides the best existing model to explain the observed structure of the universe over more than three orders of magnitude in distance scale. In principle this hot dark matter could consist of one, two, or three species of active neutrinos. If all present indications fo...
متن کاملA Model for Neutrino Warm Dark Matter and Neutrino Oscillations
The muonand tau-neutrinos with the mass in the keV range, which are allowed in a low reheating temperature cosmology, can compose the warm dark matter of the universe. A model of four light neutrinos including the keV scale νμ and ντ is studied, which combines the seesaw mechanism and the Abelian flavor symmetry. The atmospheric neutrino anomaly is due to the νμ − ντ oscillation. The solar neut...
متن کاملDirac neutrino mass from a neutrino dark matter model for the galaxy cluster Abell 1689
The dark matter in the galaxy cluster Abell 1689 is modelled as an isothermal sphere of neutrinos. New data on the 2d mass density allow an accurate description of its core and halo. The model has no “missing baryon problem” and beyond 2.1 Mpc the baryons have the cosmic mass abundance. Combination of cluster data with the cosmic dark matter fraction – here supposed to stem from the neutrinos –...
متن کاملNeutrino Mass, Dark Matter, and Leptogenesis
It is proposed that dark matter is the origin of neutrino mass, thereby linking inexorably two undisputed (and seemingly unrelated) pieces of evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model. Leptogenesis at the TeV scale may also be possible, as well as a measurable contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. Talk at NOW2006, Conca Specchiulla, Otranto, Italy.
متن کاملNeutrino Mass, Dark Matter and Inflation
We show that spontaneous breaking of global B − L symmetry responsible for small neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism provides a unified picture of hybrid inflation and dark matter if the scale of B − L breaking is close to the GUT scale. The majoron which acquires a small mass in the milli-eV range due to Planck scale breaking of B − L is the dark matter candidate. The coupling of the majo...
